Ahoy, me, hearties! These pages provide some background on my presence. If you choose to read it, you should have a good impression of my interests, work experiences, and ongoing personal projects. I am publishing this information to inform family and friends about things that have kept me off the street corner in my more mature years. I know it is an indulgence, but please humour me. I hope the site brings a little warmth to you regardless of my self-indulgence.
I’m fortunate to have a wonderful family: a tolerant and beautiful wife, two gorgeous daughters and two grandchildren, one special young man and a lively youngster who will always be my little girl. All will have their own stories to tell, and to this extent, you will find only a few family photographs plus some holiday photo albums.
You might observe a general nautical and travel theme from the posts and through links to some pages hosting different photo galleries about holidays enjoyed. This is intentional!
Site features:
-
- My early years were in the late 1940s and 50s, shortly after World War II.
- My work experiences include development in the nuclear industry.
- Background on my interest in diving, rigid hull inflatable boats and some great adventures.
- The restoration of ‘Phyllis’, a 1913 Royal Mersey Restricted Class racing yacht.
- Internet support was provided under my QDOS banner.
- My consultancy and community work.
- Photo galleries of some memorable holidays.
As you can imagine, this website and blog are a development project. If you are interested in this site, please return soon to see how things have progressed.
