Welcome Aboard – Me Hearties

Welcome Aboard – Me Hearties

Ahoy, me hearties! These pages provide some background on who I am. If you choose to read it, you should get a good sense of my interests, work experience, and ongoing personal projects. I am publishing this information to let family and friends know what has kept me off the street corner in my more mature years. I know it is an indulgence, but please humour me. I hope the site brings you a little warmth, regardless of my self-indulgence.

I’m fortunate to have a wonderful family: a tolerant and beautiful wife, two gorgeous daughters and two grandchildren, one special young man and a lively youngster who will always be my little girl.  All will have their own stories to tell; to that end, you will find no family photos, just some holiday photo albums.

You might notice a general nautical and travel theme in the posts, with different photo galleries about holidays enjoyed. This is intentional!

Site features:

    •   My early years were in the late 1940s and 50s, shortly after World War II.
    •   My work experience includes development in the nuclear industry.
    •   Background on my interest in diving, rigid-hull inflatable boats and some great adventures.
    •   The restoration of ‘Phyllis’, a 1913 Royal Mersey Restricted Class racing yacht.
    •   I provided internet support under my QDOS banner.
    •   My consultancy and community work.
    •   Photo galleries of some memorable holidays.

As you can imagine, this website and blog are still a work in progress. If you are interested in this site, please return soon to see how things have progressed.
